The Sick90 concept was born January 31, 2008, when a group of skiers and riders took a back country day up Corona Pass. After some really nice runs and a few snow mobile rides, we decided to build a small ramp to occupy waiting between runs. This sounded like a good idea until we were all towed into said ramp and found that though we were all fairly accomplished back country riders, none of us could pull anything but some Sick 90's!
Well this joke carried on as we became the Sick 90's. However after 2007-2008 seasons, our group got split up as some of us stayed in Winter Park, some moved to other mountains and some moved to Denver and got "real" jobs. We felt this joke needed to be carried on and shared and seemed like a really good idea, so Sick90.com was born.
Now here we are! We hope people enjoy the thought and send in some Sick 90's of their own, hence the front page compilation, sport some gear, and paste stickers everywhere they go(just email and ask for some). This is all a constant work in progress without a clear future, but we have fun with it anyway. We even have some Sick90 custom made skis on the way for the 2010-2011 season thanks to our friends and original snowmobile driver over at SCC Skis, and other ideas in the works, so check back every so often and see what's brewing here at Sick90.com!
